The Triana Ceramics Centre aims to show the history of the pottery tradition historically developed in the district of Triana. It is also the main hub to organise your visit to Triana, being an excellent meeting point where you can provide the briefing and logistic information for the tour.
The design of this Centre is the winner of an architecture idea competition organised by the Tourism authorities. The chosen proposal, called "Pottery Landscape", encompasses all elements with archaeological, anthropological and architectural value, shown within their original context. Even the kilns where ceramics were fired have been restored and showcased.
This space is located in the former Santa Ana factory, in Triana and was one of the last centres of ceramics production in Seville. There are ceramic pieces designed by Aníbal González which used to decorate the landmark Plaza de España in Seville.
The Triana Ceramics Centre has two floors. The ground floor hosts a permanent exhibition of a selection of remains of Sevillian ceramics which have been restored for interpretation. In the top floor there is a specialised documentation centre, as well as an area for interpretation and guidance on the tourist routes of the district of Triana.
