The city of dualities

The Esperanza de Triana and the Esperanza Macarena, the Semana Santa and the Feria, Joselito el Gallo and Juan Belmonte, … Real Betis Balompié and Sevilla Fútbol Club: duality in this city has always been present.

The greatest rivalry

The rivalry between Sevilla and Betis is considered one of the greatest rivalries in the soccer world. A healthy rivalry, often taken to the field of humor between fans and with an inexhaustible anecdotes, as happens in those families in which members of the two fans live together.

Nervión is the neighborhood where the Sevilla FC stadium is located: the Sánchez Pizjuán; and Heliópolis where Real Betis plays, at the Benito Villamarín stadium. Match days are a party in these two neighborhoods, an experience you should not miss. Choose your colors, the green and white of Betis, or the red and white of Sevilla, and enjoy a great day of soccer.

Beyond the lawn

So much this rivalry is lived in the city that, whether by chance or not, green and red dresses the canvases of the Feria de Abril, or also the traditional flamenco chairs… A good measure of the passion with which this phenomenon is felt beyond the sporting.

Seville has two special colors

And if all this rivalry can already be felt throughout the year and in any circumstance, as a direct confrontation approaches, the excitement will become more and more present.

The spectacle in the stands during a classic is formidable.

The spectacle in the stands during a classic is formidable. Whether at the Sánchez Pizjuán or the Benito Villamarín, the fervor with which the two fans feel their colors is passionate.

There are many supporters’ clubs of both teams that are the backbone of all this passion in the social fabric of the neighborhoods. The peñas are meeting places to watch the team’s games, but can also sometimes be establishments where you can taste good home cooking and associations that promote activities, sporting or otherwise, beneficial to the environment.

The Alamillo Park is one of the lungs of Seville with its more than 140 hectares of green area and beautiful lakes. Cultural, leisure and sports activities take place there. One of these practices is wakeboarding, which consists of moving on a board driven by a boat attached to a long cable. This is one of the sports that generates the most adrenaline and that, in addition, due to its location, serves to free oneself from the heat that plagues the city during the summer months. It can be done as a family, since children, from five years old, can participate.
