VIVE SEVILLE / Gastronomy

Breezes of the Sevillian night

On the banks of the Guadalquivir you will find many leisure areas in which to enjoy Seville, both day and night. The river transmits a vibrant feeling, a special joy, to the terraces and streets nearby.

The splendor of the night on the water

You have seen all the states of the Guadalquivir River throughout the day, all the lights that define and enhance it as the narrative axis of Seville. Now comes the night, and you need to discover all the energy that the river gives back to the city: to its bars and nightclubs on its banks and to the neighboring Arenal neighborhood.

The New York Pier is an ideal space for the summer at the foot of the river, where you can even lie in a hammock while enjoying a fruity cocktail.

The Mercado de la Lonja del Barranco, next to the river, is a beautiful 19th-century civil engineering building, which has emerged as a new must-see spot in Seville for a fantastic gourmet experience.

The Paseo de Colón

The tendency to get together for a drink is a deeply rooted custom in Seville. And a splendid example of this collective joy can be seen in the Paseo Colón and its fashionable bars.

The bullfighting district of Arenal

In the surroundings of the Plaza de Toros you can find great restaurants and terraces. And not only at street level, also some rooftop terraces from which you can see the beautiful surroundings of this unique neighborhood.

El Arenal is also an area where there are numerous nightlife venues that close late at night. In Arfe street and other nearby streets you can enjoy a great atmosphere almost at any time of the day.

El Arenal, neighborhood of the sea

The First Round the World Space is a reference center to learn about the maritime history of Seville around the Arenal – a seafaring neighborhood that during the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries lived in step with the activity of the fleets of the Indies that departed from and arrived at its river – through the greatest maritime feat that the city was involved in: the First Round the World (1519-1522).

In its interpretation center visitors discover the keys to this first circumnavigation of the planet, and culminate the experience by climbing aboard the ship that led this admirable expedition: the Nao Victoria 500, an imposing life-size replica of this legendary vessel.
