Parks

One of the cities with the most green areas in Spain

Sevilla has 1,000 hectares dedicated to green areas, or 14 square meters per inhabitant. That makes it one of the cities with a greater presence of landscaped spaces. And it is a constant presence in the city. Its 115,000 trees are not only in the parks, but also give life to its streets and squares.

Maria Luisa Park

Sevilla can say loudly that it hasone of the most spectacular parks in the worldo. For its beauty, its botanical richness, its architectural quality, its history and its charm, the Maria Luisa Park is one of the essential places to visit in Seville.

Sevilla is one of the most beautiful parks in the world.

Amidst a formidable variety of plant species, and following the typical layout of the romantic garden, the literary gazebos, the pavilions of the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 and the imposing Plaza de España stand out. If the landscape designer Forestier was the architect behind the design of the park, architect Aníbal González was the architect of those emblematic historicist buildings that appear as if in a dream.

The new Magallanes Park

On the occasion of the commemoration in 2019-2022 of the V centenary of the First Round the World Tour undertaken by Ferdinand Magellan from Seville, the city has wanted to pay tribute to the navigator with this new green space. The Fernando de Magellan Park is located next to the Guadalquivir River, the Navigation Pavilion, the Seville Tower and the Caixa Forum.
